How do I make wall decals?

I've been looking at a range of wall decals available on Blik etc. but they just don't have the designs I want. I was wondering if anyone knew how to make them? Do you use a vinyl cutter and if so is there a specific type of vinyl to use?

Any information would really be handy. Thanks in advance!

Use contact paper, cut out any design, tons of colors and patterns and easy to remove without damaging walls.
